This is not the first time, I show you a view into the garden of the Palais Liechtenstein - but here I really liked the light. I hope you do so too. From the late 17th century onwards, gardens became a major object of princely interest in Vienna. As a consequence, they also came to play a significant role in both economic and artistic life. A testament to the Liechtenstein family’s interest in plants and horticulture is the famous, fourteen-volume Codex Liechtenstein Liber regnis vegetabilis, which was written during the last third of the 18th century.

Great photo Sabine. I like the light play as well. Just had this in VB and gave it a 10. I would have given it a 20 if I could have. Looks like the one is really in the spotlight. Have a good weekend Sabine.

Fourteen volumes? Wow...that's a lot of verbiage on vegetation!!

Great shot and yes, I agree with you that the lighting is definitely great on this upload.

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon

I think this turned out very, very nice. I like the one statue in the center of things and the light is full on him. Brings you right into the picture and then you can enjoy and appreciate the rest of the image. Sandi♥

Think in the 18th century they had time enough to do such a enormous job, lol.
Wonderful image Sabine, the lighting, as said above, is very special!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
