A very old school - one of those, where kids joined the same class over eight years - from Tyrol, seen in the online exhibition of old tyrolian buildings.

lovely shot Sabine! I thought the cloud in the sky was smoke from the chimney until I opened it in full screen! :) Reminds me of films I have seen. I imagine it must be a very remote place to have the same children in the class for 8 years.

Nature in all her glory is my uplift on life, and my love for music and photography.
I too thought the vapor trail was smoke from the building. I went to a one room school for eight years. There were students from 1st grade to 8th grade. I think it was very beneficial to get that kind on one on one education. Thanks for reminding me Sabine.

I have to agree with Sandi. A lot of the old one-room school houses have been refurbished to make homes for ppl. They certainly are very special.

They were the best kind, just like your shots. I think we need schools like this again. The children learned a lot more.

looks a cute building and a good way of life too. my friends kids go to a school like this in scotland, 8 kids in the whole school from age 4 to age 12 or 13.
