With the weather so cold and snowy, all I can do is look forward to spring. But this little formation in the snow drew my eye so I decided to share it.
I really like the series of contrasts in this photo, Laura. From the black swallow nest holes (at least, that's what they look like) to the various hues in the layers of sediment, to the wispy prairie grasses, to the solid white of the snow, you've taken us from black to white, hard-edged to no edge at all. Definitely a keeper - saved and faved. I think we are all at the cusp of you knocking our socks off with your new camera. Looking forward to more.
Excellent photo! The contrast of the warm color against the cool white, and the horizontal flow in both the rock and the lower grass makes for a captivating image!
