This is one of our resident coyotes on my local golf course. She seems to have lost her ball on the last drive. A couple years ago I caught her and 7 pups for several days and have lost all the photos I took of her and the babies.

What a great shot Chuck. She's very 'at attention'. Very nice lighting, composition, and clarity. Sure would have loved to have seen the pups so 'go get them next time' :) Nice post and very well done.

Well, as nature intended, she's a little hard to see behind that tree, as she blends right in with the light green of the golf course, but then she's worth the looksee. It's too bad you don't have the old photos, but I guess you'll have to start somewhere again :) I understand and have said before that you have to get these kinds of pics with whatever conditions you can...good ole quick draw :) so my comments about the composition of the pic will seem a little strange, I'm sure, because I think you did a marvelous job of framing this with the dark evergreen on the right and the clear field of verdant grass to the left that doesn't detract from the coyote at all, but let's your eye find her to enjoy. BTW what a great golf course :) Good composition, as I said (or perhaps you're just one of the luckiest ppl I know :) and given the conditions, very nice clarity :)PJ

What a peaceful picture. A golf course is a wonderful place to capture the serenity of perfectly trimmed emerald grass, and the coyote adds a wonderful focus to the picture. Nicely done!

Looks like a scene out of a Disney movie!

I wish that tractor were tucked away a little further behind the tree - But this was an excellent "in the moment" capture! :-D

Chuck, what a treat to see one of my favorite animals up closer - they're so illusive! One of the things I enjoy about your photos is their 'natural state'. They're not over-edited and fake looking. While a couple of things could be done to make this a better presentation, this is a good photo a la naturel, nicely composed. - Patty

Woe.................................that's a classic capture. She's big too. We have them where I live out in the coutry and sometimes I hear them howling at night. It is bone chilling especially when you own 7 cats that you cherish. Great capture, Chuck.

Difficult hole to reach Chuck..it's got FOUR doglegs on it!! LOL Nice capture of this Wile E. Coyote! His coat looks real nice compared to what I've seen of ours around here! Usually kind of scraggly looking. Good job!

Great shot Chuck of this wild creature related to the dog, in one of the last places I'd ever expect to see one. Probably the water hazards on the course attract them. Odds are she's Mrs. Wiley and the Roadrunners made off with her ball ... BEEP! BEEP!

What a shot Chuck. She is so beautiful standing there and looks so regal. Lucky you to have gotten this so clearly.
