Those cascading cliffs dropping to the creek below and the untouched snowbanks on tiny islands in the stream remind me so much of the 1972 Robert Redford movie, "Jeremiah Johnson." Few films back then contained so much natural mountain beauty and your photo could be a still from that movie. Excellent composition and contrasts between the quiet stream coming fluidly around the bend through the trees below this massive wall of stone. Plus the HDR adds just the right touch of drama in the light and sky.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
A wonderful shot Jerry - full of interesting textures, colours and tones; real mastery of HDR. I've nominated this for inclusion in the permanent gallery. Happy New Year!
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
they say that when snow looks blue on your photo, it means you did it wrong. well, I dare to disagree. On your shot, the blue hue adds to the coldness of the winter and I really really like it. you did overdo a bit with the HDR and the bottom left corner is sort of more blue than the rest of it, but I still like it:)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
