I don’t have a clue how to create something like this but I know a good one when I see it. The blend of colours is as fascinating as the design and composition. It brings visions of magical events to mind and simply looks good.

This reminds me of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover books. I see a meeting of hi-tech space-age and ancient myths, magic, legend. The sword and the crystal ball are of the latter but what is pictured in the ball is entirely of the former - victory in an interstellar war, perhaps. No idea if this is what's here, but that's what I see...
