Another butterfly enjoying a meal on some goldenrod out in the backyard. I think I was still hunting spiders that day, or maybe it was the insanely chattering squirrel that I was after. I know I was out there for a reason, not necessarily a good one, but a reason nonetheless. Well anyways, this butterfly presented itself for a portrait; shot as a landscape for those keeping count. There's one more butterfly floating around out there. But it refuses to sit still long enough to even consider pressing the shutter button let alone get a blurry photo of it. Oh my, Wendell....
Am I seeing things or is your depth of field just a tad short on this shot? It looks like the butterfly wings and a part of the plant are perfectly focused but that the head and one antenna are just ever so slightly out of focus!!!!! I'm shocked and appalled that you would post a photo that is so obviously flawed. LOL.
Radiant colors, wonderful background, splendid overall composition.
