This factory building was established back in 1882. Most Canadians should recognize the name of the business. They're also known as the Underwear Company. This is a compilation of 4 or 5 shots stitched together and then cropped down to something presentable. The border was added to balance the shot out. Some colour was added to darken the sky. But otherwise no vandalism took place. The photo was taken in the early evening, I was lucky the setting sun wasn't reflecting off the glass windows. This is probably the most interesting angle to take the shot from. The front of the building is too obscured by trees, homes and busy street traffic. Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed.

The tower/smokestack gives it a prison feel. That is what I always thought about factories. It is even by a stream for the EPA to investigate. Lovely shot, edit and explanation Wendell.
I suspect it would have worked in b/w as well.

Hi, Wendell....Is there an EPA in Canada? This is the 2nd time in two days where a huge posting is 5"x10" on my computer monitor. Sounds like an awful lot of work for a shot that's hardly bigger than a post card.

That's a honkin' big building!! Nice capture (or captures) of this ominous brick monster under less than ideal conditions. I don't see any seams and I like the narrative. I just wish I could see the building a little better. Let me get my magnifying glass, and I'll get back to you.

It looks mystic, strange, empty. Great shot.

Wendell - A real nice shot of the 'undies empire'. There were plenty of challenges, notably sunlight, that you successfully overcame with this photo. Thad

Classic industrial architecture. And Canadian too.. I think that deserves an 11 in the VB.

I like the lighting in this shot Wendell - I can envision factory workers pouring out the doors to head home.

Really intruiging shot of this "undergarment prison" Wendell. Probably a Nova Scotian concept I can't fully grasp. Love it anyway.

It does have that big factory feel! Thats because it is a big factory!! I dont think it really looks like a prison but its a great overall view of the place. Good job!
