This was shot in June of this year. In one of those "middle of nowhere" places waiting to be explored. Well it was actually in the middle of a forest cut-over, but I won't tell if you don't. But the cut-over was in the middle of nowhere, honestly.:)

If when visiting Small Falls you had turned around this is what you would have seen. Really not much to look at when you think about it. Oh sure there are the moss covered rocks and a couple of dark inviting openings. One of those fallen trees nobody was around to hear fall. And maybe a clearing further downstream; or is it just a deeper gully waiting for you to take the plunge over the edge?

I think I messed around with the lighting too much while editing this. For some reason the colours seem to have a yellowish tint. Maybe it's just my monitor. Let me know what you think.

Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed.

They do have a yellowish tint Wendell but honestly, depending on the time of day, it can look like that in the deep woods. I like this shot very much.

Wendell - If a man speaks in the woods and his wife doesn't hear him, is he still wrong? There is a yellow tint. There is a pleasing view in this photo. Thad

Watch out for Moss Ogres. They like to disguise themselves as rocks, and then attack. LOL. Gorgeous shot, Wendell.
