You scared the ^%$# out of me, Wendell. Before I looked at the full size image, I thought the pool of water at the bottom was a boot. I thought, "Leave it to Wendell to come across a frozen corpse and then post a shot of it." I wish I was as witty as TicK. He always comes up with great little quips about your postings.
It must get powerfully cold in N.S. I know that there's snow in the Sierras, but there's nothing like this near here. I've been told that the Donner Pass can be pretty rough in the winter and creates weird cravings for unusual foods.
This is a perfect shot to serve as a reminder why I left Illinois. I walked the dogs in my t-shirt this evening. Left two sweatshirts in the car. The neighbors probably wished I had wore pants too, but I thought the t-shirt was plenty.
Very nice detail in the shot. No motion blur in those rapids and the colors are.....well, there really aren't any. My only complaint is the same as my comments about Thad's glacier photos. I need something for scale. Is this a foot tall or 50 feet tall? That's about it. I'm pooped.
Wow this is one stunning looking photo with great detail and composition too.The detail in this shot and light plus shade is second to none.Well done my friend great capture.
Cool, I mean really COOL shot.
