Another find at Old Borges Ranch. She's a beaut!! I think this is a Buff Orpington but maybe someone can correctly identify which breed:) Even though I preferred she not be on this blue seat she wouldn't oblige me. I didn't want to take the shot when she was on the ground. I wanted some distance behind her for perspective sakes:) Enjoy.

wow, now that's a monster. And she does not look happy. What did you do to upset her? I like the contrast between her color and the color of the... whatever it is she's standing on, and also the contrast between the softness of feathers and the metal. Nice catch.

A tough old chook! In Australia we call chickens - "chooks" as in cooks.

Your title had me literally laughing out loud! Shes a beaute. Sharp focus with plenty of feather detail and a little catch light in her eye makes for an excellent shot.

I would like to help you out with identifying this particular breed, but the extent of my poultry knowledge is "chicken" or "egg" and the all important "nugget". I can unfailingly say that this falls into the "chicken" category.
A good close up of the hen, nice details, textures and colours. Perhaps crop some off the left hand side, those last few pickets aught to do nicely. That would get rid of the bright area.
