I've had this since April and just was never sure about the image in regards to the balance between the 'bg' and the forefront. I would have liked to have the 'bg' more out of focus but I decided not to put the energy into that part of this image so you're stuck with this:):) Found this in the same shop as the two cash registers I have posted in the past. Thanks for your comments once again:)

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

A gunsmith would love this shot BB. I am no gunsmith but I still like it.

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.

My first guess this is part of an old rifle, but I absolutely don't know anything about guns & such. I do know that I like the detail you captured & I find the background not one bit distracting at all. The green serves as a nice contrast too. Wonderful capture, Bruce.

If you look at this cross-eyed, and then back to normal, the whole thing is blurry...so I don't recommend doing that. LOL. Nice shot, Bruce.

Nice detailed shot displaying the action of this crude old flintlock, showing how it was made & operated. Looks like someone used a cord to grasp onto & cock it. ...Ed

An interesting close up of the firing mechanism of this old flintlock, Bruce. Nice details in the photo. A busy and cluttered background, it wouldn't have been that much of an effort to blur it up some, lol. Nice work.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
