Referring to Doug's comment I like to say, that it's just a matter of taste. To me it's a well balanced composition with a good use of the by the 'rule of thirds' given advice. I love this scenery. Well taken too, Bruce.

Lovely capture the fence work very nicely as a frame work for the stunning view in front.Great depth of field and lovely light and colour in this photo my friend.Plus i love the textures in the rock face too.
What an interesting fence, framing a lovely view...and I have never hesitated to clone out anything that would distract the viewer from the main event. If bare patches in the distant greenery are distracting, by all means, get rid of them! :)
Philosophically how do we know we are not on the other side of the fence? A good jog of Brucing up the photo and scene, Bruce. A nicely composed scene and lovely view of the coastline.
