Bruce, a photographic top-down approach may be called a 'bird's eye view', but I don't know a name for a photographic approach in the opposite way. I could call it an 'inverted bird's eye view', but that's not original.

Hmm, I always like such photos, not entirely sure why. Maybe it is the severe perspective, or maybe I just have pleasant associations with lying on the forest (or swamp) floor and looking up.
