Some time ago I was in Hamburg and there I saw some pretty Swans! Enjoy! Any comment is welcome.

Swans are so beautiful and graceful. I love the way that all the birds on the wooden planking , including the ducks, are busy preening themselves. It's a lovely natural shot.

Moest je nou helemaal naar Hamburg om die zwanen te fotograferen Gabrielle? Grapje!!
Zwanen doen het altijd goed op een foto en zeker als je er ook nog een fraaie compositie van weet te maken. Erg goed gedaan weer.

This is a very refreshing picture. I have always loved ducks and swans. I remember feeding them at a pond near my home when I was a kid. I loved doing that. You have captured them very nicely. The water is a "cool" shade of blue. Super job, Gabrielle.

It must be expensive there, because most of the swans seem to be checking their wallets. Looks like they're not afraid of you as they're going about their business. Looks like the ugly ducklings crashed the party. Excellent composition and coloring. Good photo Gabi.

you captured them nicely, in a self-absorbed mood as they are ! i like the way you made the composition with the dock on the right. the clarity and brightness are not that good but, i think the weather-god is to blame for that !

Hey I like this one Gabrielle. :d
That jetty seems quite a gathering point for the swans, perhaps people feed them here also !!

Lots of swans all in one place. I'm used to seeing just one or two. Not used to seeing them preening and other things. Usually, they are just looking graceful as they glide by. Very nice post, Gabrielle. I see swans a little differently now.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I lovethe blue of this water - and I especially like the sleeping swans. The contrast of the old wood of the jetty against the white of the birds and blue of the water is really nice too. A refreshing and peaceful picture :)

With the ducks it reminds me of the story of The Ugly Duckling. Nice composition, I like how the dock is off to the side a little. Terrific shot.
