Haven't been able to get out much lately... struck down by the flue. So I hope you don't mind having to watch some more summer vacation shots! Here's the sea as seen from a little harbor town in Southern France called Collioure.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

All of my friends here are posting such gorgeous pictures this morning. This is just super Gabrielle. I love the diagonal of the wall, the land in the distance, and the color of the water. Marvelous shot.

Sorry you've had the flu, but glad you shared this photo with us. I love the blues and the wall. The boats add perspective and I love the rocky crags. Just a really good photo Gabi. Hope you're feeling better and have a good weekend.

Now's the best time for wonderful summer shots to warm us all up over here in Northern North America! this is lovely with the stone wall off on an angle as it is. I hope your recovery is swift! Take care and stay warm!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Time for a walk along the seafront to take in the view and some fresh air and then just time for a little something in the local café. Great shot Gabrielle.

Nice 1 Gabrielle, Your image is like what we have here in Hawaii, We can see the outer Islands in the same way. That's what this shot reminds me of. I love the feeling of knowing that my family close by. Very clean shot. Thanks!

A great holiday location Gabrielle
Since our chat on travel I've researched Collioure. It's actually old Spanish territory surrendered to France in 1659 to end a 24 yr war, and was liberated again in 1793 for a short while only !!
Be Dutch or English it's a long car journey but the Mediterranean is worth it hey. :d
