First off, the title to this picture is from the song "Canadian railroad trilogy" by Gordon Lightfoot of whom I am a huge fan.The whole bit goes "There was a time in this fair land when the railroad did not run When the wild majestic mountains stood alone against the sun. Long before the white man and long before the wheel when the green dark forest was too silent to be real." I took this a few miles from my house at Morris Bridge Park in November, 2015.

Wow this is really beautiful. It reminds me of that movie legend. That forest was enchanted like this one. Great capture!!!!

Nice shot looking up and the glimpses of blue between the white clouds make it more interesting.

Alex, in order to make this very fine post of you complete, I'll provide you with this link.
An impressive Caedes-contribution too. I love its exuded mood.
Well done, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This is very good, difficult lighting here would normally have made this a dark image, but you managed it very well.
