I was in southern Alberta and happened to be flying out of Lethbridge County Airport on Sunday, just as the International Airshow was taking place. This is a shot from the departure lounge of the wreckage of F-18 crash that occured on Friday. [I've posted the image, as the pilot is ok and nobody on the ground was hurt].

In this view, you can just make out the outline of the Rocky Mountains behind that taxing trainning jet and the burnt out tail fins of the F-18.

Saw that on the news this morning and was thanksful the pilot got out before it crashed. A great photo of what is not only left of the plane, but of the profile of the other one.

Well, wasn't that a timely departure. I have seen that crash over and over on the news all day today. That pilot must have 9 lives and I think he used them all on that flight.

A good action shot and what a lucky pilot John. Would make a good photojournalist shot.

Photos of the pilot ejecting, note how the thrusters had so quickly positioned the seat for proper chute deployment.
