If you're going to be a tourist in your own back yard, you might as well pop by to see Anne Hathaway if you're in Stratford upon Avon. Not the movie starlet, but the house of the bard, with a cup of HDR.

As Bob would say, 'wor lass and wor lad' enjoying the tourist free path.

Here's a composition query: would you have people in the shot, or no people in the shot?

As you can see, I opted to populate this post but interested to hear what you think.

John this is a beautiful capture. Allmost story book like. The hdr adds fine detail to it and the people strolling by add a great touch as well.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.

The juxtaposition is that the architecture of the older buildings and landscape tell of former days but the people are of the present and so they clash in a way that tricks the mind. I want to see a knight on a horse go by or a lady in her Victorian dress:) A wonderful shot anyway and I love the darkness of the image and the HDR treatment here. Super job john:)

I usually prefer no people, but I think leaving them in added even more to your wonderful image. Tigs♥ =^..^=

NO PEOPLE
Absolutely no people. Some people have no respect for the poor photographers. LOL
I always step aside when somebody is trying to take a pic of something behind or in front of me !!!
For my own private and strictly limited use as DT I am going to crop the image to get rid of them, just to let you know !! LOL
Yours most devoted SAM
BTW
Thanks for the historical DT

Cropping is not the way to handle this problem.
I do not want to lose the beautiful vegetation right behind the people, please !!!!

In this perspective, I think the people belong because you don't have a totally clear view of the house and we see that we are in a modern time. I would have taken other views, (which I'm sure you did) of just the house alone, but perhaps from the other street or the garden. I love what the HDR did here. Very dramatic result. I have been inside this house.

A great looking scene and lovely post work on the photo. You might as well let the people stay, they don't seem to be disturbing anyone or interfere with the sight lines.

I think the HDR worked very well with the wet road and overcast sky...good way to brighten the scene! That's Anne there, isn't it? :)

Great capture, color, composition, excellent photo. Most of the comments above seem to indicate that the people are ok in the composition. My choice would be to use Photoshop and clone them out of the scene. They distracted me and the fact that they have their backs to the camera seems to make them unnecessary. Joe
