There are many reasons why people say they love New York. One of my top reasons would have to be the random skys on any given day. Surounded by the Great Lakes, you never know what's around the corner. I like the depth of layers and colors here. The setting sun was at a 90 degree angle to my right. Just peeking out of the clouds enough to light up the trees, contrasing the scene. Hope ya dig it.
Canon XTi - 1/160, f10. 18-55mm kit lens, w/ circular polarizer.

Nice shot, and nice title:) I really like the small break in clouds afar and the light shining on the trees to the left.

Cool lighting. The title you chose suits the photo well, the sky is really interesting. I always love how the sunlight contrats with dark clouds.

When I got this in the VB I knew right away this was an absolutely fantastic photo! Not only the wonderful light stroking the trees, but the gentle way the sunlight is peeking thru those dramatic clouds to show just a touch of the bloo skies still showing thru. And to top it all off, that wonderful red float...absolutely the most perfect touch...I rarely give a 10 but you got one for this, I would give it a 20 if I could. It's going straight onto my desktop. Thank you for a most wonderful photo..and congrats to you!!! Verena
