Perfect spot for a Summer picnic I'd say. The low clouds made this shot work well with the horizon. As if there is no end to it. That's just how it appreard when I was out there. I'm glad the photo came out just as it was to give it some justice. Taken October 18th 2008.

Nicely composed and lots of pretty color. Beautiful spot, Jay. Must be getting cold up there now.

I don't think I've ever see a sky that color. But it is beautiful, and gets a big "thumbs up" from me.

Alright then, had your image here bookmarked for a while referencing your posting date.

What struck me, even in thumbnail ... is your composition and use of the subtle leading lines contained within frame.

Near strokes of photographic genius, in my mind.

Those of the table ... lined up with the tree on a wonderful gentle angular line ... to that of the boat(?) on the water and then out to that of the horizon.

Caveats?

Kind of undecided here. As to whether or not, the post processing is (and forgive me the use of this phrasing) on the heavy side. Or, nudging the border of.

Suppose it could come down to trying to categorize your image here. Lil' bit of surrealism enters the picture as the boosts in colour saturation has taken away some detail of some elements. (Reds of the leaves, for example.)

That said, I really do enjoy your visual offering here.

And can sum up my initial and final impressions, thusly ... niiiiiiiice shot.

+favs for me.

Your photo here is one of those for me. And I thank you for sharing it with us. :o)
