This is for Joanie, because I know she likes covered bridges. It has been the subject of a few other pictures I have posted, but this is the first sepia.
Jimbob, have to be honest. Know that a lot of people are fond of images in sepia. Of course I have to respect this, but it's not my personal taste. Doesn't mean however that this image wouldn't be good, no it's on the contrary as the composition is perfect. Have to download this image and make a print-out of it in order to use my coloured pencils or crayons, lol!

PS: a wonderful new Christmas avie my friend!
Looks a little different in sepia but good JimboB. It puts the covered bridge in its normal time period. Do you live in Billy Madison County and what's up with the normal avie. I like it. :)
Well thank you Jim! You're so sweet. I usually love colored versions myself, but this sepia makes it look and feel like the olden days when it was used. Your frame work really looks well on this too! So warm and pleasant to look at! And you know me, I love covered bridges so of course its faved!

I like this Jim...Great composition and eye for detail. The Sepia tone for me brings out the classic feel of the era of covered bridges and I think you have done an excellent job of showing that here.
I like covered bridges to.Ever since I saw a movie with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep, The Bridges of Madison County. Since then I have been fascinated by these constructions. We dont have any covered bridges here in Sweden. A very good shot and work Jim.
I love this shot.

I like it as it is, and will save it. It reminds me of an old covered bridge my brother and I used to play on, when we were kids, of course. He is gone now, and so is the bridge, so a nice memory for me.

The truth is, you really should see My Gallery.
I like these old bridges Jimbo. This looks like an old photo, i can almost hear the horses and buggy crossing the bridge. No! that's someone knockin' on my door. Gotta go
This is quite something, the sepia turns what could have been an uninspiring scene into something interesting. I think it's because it's stressed the structural elements and the textures. The feathery trees have come out really well and contrast perfectly with the hard lines of the bridge. Very nice Jb.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

You have given this capture an 'olden day' feel. I am never sure why they built bridges with a roof on though. Cant get my head around that. Perhaps you know the answer to that!!! Otherwise a nicely composed shot. Well done!
