Jim, I found myself staring at "Golden Banks." The river seems to be so large, so wide, so deep. Yet, that is deceptive for it must be shallow. There are small stones visibly scattered about and standing in the water. Your colors are excellent, as always. You have another wonderful addition to this collection of river shots.
Jimbob, doesn't matter whether you found or created pure gold at the banks of the Sandusky river, as it's a perfect image my friend!
Regards, Cornelius.
Superb shot Jim. The leaves on the ice may not be real gold but they are very pleasing natures gold to the eye.... They lead you right to the banks and then the total enjoyment of the image.
It looks like there's not much left of the Sandusky River! Looks pretty shallow where you're at Jim. Beautiful coloring in this one! The title fits perfect and oh what a lovely DT this makes! Excellent!

What a shot! The river leads hte eye right into the picture and talk about DOF! The colors are vibrant and the sky looks so natural! Very well done, sir!
You and FDR have combined for a perfect photo JimboB. I think it is the best yet. I believe you have hit on the perfect formula. It looks so peaceful. The only thing breaking the silence is someone "trying" to play a harmonica. lol
If you have a garden please feed the birds this freezing winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Help dwindling bird numbers survive.
I really like the light that makes the grasses and the stones in the river glow with a golden color. It looks wonderful against the dark water. Very nice work!
