I went up by the Marblehead Lighthouse today, and shiver me timbers it was cold and windy! You can just see a little of the lighthouse in the upper right quarter of the picture.
I love the clouds in this shot. a pretty breezy day judging from that choppy water. Mt. Leconte got 3 inches of snow here yesterday. Getting cold early. Nice shot my friend.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City. A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Oh this looks like what we had Saturday and boy your title is right on the mark! Wonderful but ominous skies and nothing like the choppiness of a great lake on a windy day. Well captured
Great shot. Lovely light and very clear. In fact, we live on the lake, I think I can see our condo in Lakewood from there. It's right in the V of the tree :-)
We also have a cold wind up here Jimbob. Your image really does make it look cold. I see the seagull up in the sir even looks like he's having a hard time getting his sights on anything to eat.
Boy, I cannot believe you mentioned 'Shiver me Timbers'
just been reading a book..and the origin of this saying is right in front of me...
It was when sailors had wooden legs!!..and the thumping of the wooden decks in stormy seas used to make them shake!...hence that saying!.....Just thought I would share that gem of my feeble knowledge with you all...~chuckles!..
Hey wait a moment, let me put my sweater on before I look at it LOL! But seriously Jimbob, it almost makes me shiver too. Nice shot conveying that wintry feeling!
Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick.
