Every once in a while, Jimbob, you post a shot that is so eloquent that it blows me away with a wisp. There is something you do in the editing process that I can't explain but that creates an almost phantasmagoric feel to it. Your last posting was more of what I call photojornalistic, slightly tweaked but more of a "what you see is what you get" feel. On this one you seem to have pushed the editing envelope just a bit. Maybe because you do this sort of shot rarely, I seem to enjoy them even more than your usual stuff, which by the way is typically fantastic as well. It's almost like you've overlaid an acetate sheet of an Andrew Wyeth painting on top of the photo. Whatever it is that you do, it bowls me over. This one is a stunner. Apparently I've been forcefully removed from the AC or I would have nominated this. At the very least, you are hereby awarded one fave, three "fabs" and 1.7 "awesomes".
This is so cool. I can image General Ulysses S. Grant & his calvary riding up on their horses. Love the treatment you used ... really brought out the detail. Excellent work, Jim.
I think you have mesmerized Dodger with your work JimboB. I have to agree with him about your work being something special. It is always so well edited and the composition is always top notch. I still remember the blue cow. Wonderful work again.
