I'm pretty good at trimming my dogs nails, but I think I'll pass on this fella ... his claws look very sharp. Love the Komodo Dragon's smile ... looks like he is living the 'life of riley' too. Excellent capture, Jim.
These dragons have always facinated me. It is like looking into the eyes of a medival myth. Great capture and I dare you to try to file his nails. LOL!
Nice narrative, Jimbob. I happen to agree that a manicure is in order. I'll tell you what. I'll hold him down while you file his nails. And while you're at it, I'll bet he needs his teeth cleaned.
Your zoo (he is in a zoo, right?) shots always amaze me. The focus is so sharp and the detail is breathtaking. Except for those nails and that breath, this is a handsome fellah. I'm the last person to say much about composition, but I downloaded this and played around with the cropping. I think it would have looked better if you had cropped about 50% of the area from the edge of his head to the left edge of the border. Being ignorant and dumb has never stopped me from sharing my opinion.
I know a man who has these animals in his house, ofcourse they shouldn't live there, but I couldn't sleep anymore if it was my house ;-) A very sharp and good photo Jim! Mich
Jimbob - Perhaps the scaly lizard just got one and is showing it off to passing photographers, hoping for some Internet exposure. Your photo should please it a lot. Thad
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
