Jim, I sure would like to go back one of these days, but I'm sure it won't be anytime soon. I love those clouds, really completes this nice capture. =^..^=tigs
I don't think it eerie. Oh, Erie, yes it is a really beautiful lake. I saw it once when I went to Niagra. It really is quite a large lake and this is a very lovely setting on the shore. Nice one, Jim.
Jimbob, I've been on Lake Erie when the water was more suited for surfing that water skiing like this placid scene. Maybe it's the dead grass in the foreground and the leafless trees, but this image looks very cold. I know that the Great Lakes aren't much for swimming unless you're a polar bear or from Ohio because of the frigid waters.
Wonderful job of capturing this scene, Jim. A beautiful sky. Are those fishing boats out there. For some reason I thought that the Great Lakes just had gigantic cargo ships ferrying iron oar and coal from place to place.
Jimbob - It certainly is not dreary Erie when looking at this lovely scene! The sky is a keeper. Boats on the water and foreground shoreline are anchored by the tree and groin. Terrific comp! Thad
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.

When I was staring at your picture, Jimbob, it hit me and I cannot believe I had not thought of it before, but you are, the Erie Master. Over the years you have given us many quality pictures of the lake and nearby neighborhoods.
