Mick...you have captured this one great!....really creepy and chillingly atmospheric....I love the way you have caught the sky! which adds to the overall effect!!.....Is it near where I will be going to next year!!!
There is something about your photos which makes them so mood-inspiring. Apart from technical issues which you mastered well you have a rare gift to show something hidden deep in the shadows, in the contrasts, the atmosphere of the moment. This is what I love most. Thank you for sharing it with us.
"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many."- "I wish the Ring had never come to me.
I wish none of this had happened..." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."-Gandalf
Talk about being in the right place at the right time...look at the sky in the background. It's perfect and provides some relief and hope in the surrounding forboding atmosphere. The lighting is indeed a masterpiece. Love those tombstones. Even though they may tip over or the names be washed off the face of the stone by time, guess who will still know every soul by name buried under that ancient earth. Grrrrrrrreat capture. High marks my man.

Boy, I don't know how I missed this! I love the photos of old cemetarys. The composition is fantastic and super clarity. I like angles of some of the grave stones. Good colors - the greys of the tombstones help make this image. And the skys clouds are nicely shown. This will make a good desktop for Halloween too. Many thanks for this eerie beauty :*>
