Sweet Rufus ... I love this boy. He looks so tired, but then I know my dogs are tired of the heat & humidity too. Myself included ... thank goodness for AC.

Here we magage with walking once briefly during the heat of the day and second time - 3 hours in most cases - strentgth and stamina permitting late at night /early in the morning.
Hard life for them short faced or thick furred or both.
How about horses? Must be lots better.
