Vipers Bugloss(Echium vulgare), adds a touch of beauty to the banks of the Selwyn River in Canterbury, New Zealand. Vipers Bugloss grows wild in arid soils and is very palatable to sheep.Vipers Bugloss honey is delicious so it is highly regarded by beekeepers.

The scientific name here does nothing for me ... but those blossoms sure are pretty. You've done a nice job composing this. Makes for a very nice desktop in my opinion.

Ahh....in my faves, and it really has to be seen full size to be truly appreciated. I love how the water sets an absolutely beautiful backdrop for these lovely flowers. Thanks for this one
