"Rain and tears are the same, but in the sun you've got to play the game". . . . . . . . . . . . . .I liked the way the red turned out with this photo but did not know what to do with it as the background was distracting. I do not know how to place a frame behind an image so spent a bit of time pushing and cloning in PSP to overlap the petals on the frame after using Frosted Edger black to hide the background. (and it was not really rain, was the result of hosing the windows lol). . . . . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7. . . . . Thank you for viewing and I welcome any comments.

Tears are 'salty'..so now you know...excellent job on this Lyn!.....It's all about 'levels' (adobe not psp)..that's how you can put the frame behind etc!
this is truly wonderful!...very nice indeed!

I'm not a big fan of frames but this one fits very well. It looks very natural and I'd never guess you had trouble overlaying the petals. I'm a PSP user as well and plan to improve my ability with it using a book a bought some time ago. Soon as you learn it, there's a new version!

Lyn, you've captured that elusive red that so many of us chase, and you've done it very well in this exceptional presentation. I love the little drop of water that's hanging off the bottom petal of this flower and how it extends down on to the frame itself. Given all the work that you put into making this, I hate to criticize it at all, but I'm only going to be picky about the choice of a metal appearing frame as opposed to something a little more natural. For me it says we've got all this lovely emotion and hard work, but we're going to cage it in metal. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been framed, I'm just wondering if something a little more "natural" would have been in order. Just my two cents' worth and overall, you've done an outstanding job, my friend :)

The flora detail is outstanding Eve!! I know you spent some time on the framing, but sorry to say I'm not real crazy about it..sorry. The flower is so sharp and clear and the thing around it seems kinda fuzzy and muted. Gorgeous reds really pop on the bud!!

Picture Purrrfect . You never see advertisements for string…they make string, yet you never see a commercial for string!!

Let me see if I have this correct ... you just do a little "pushing", then you do a little "spraying" ( not even to the image but instead your window) ...and last a bit of "hiding" with an ice cold edger, and you come up with this sparkler. G'won Eve ... you're puttin' me on.

Such a lovely flower. I'm going to guess...petunia? I wouldn't mind seeing you back the frame off of the flower just a tad. It looks like it might be a little cramped, but the idea and the execution came off brilliantly. I don't know how to do the 'frame behind' thing either, but I wouldn't mind someone explaining it.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I have the same problems with my works...sometimes i have an idea, make the first plane (also the central motive) and than comes the question:"what next?which frame?which background?may i present it in this form or make something more?".Thanks your work ,dear Lyn, this presentation looks beautiful! The rose is wonderful,so strong red with pink contures and the frame is super! This image needs no complicate frames or backgrounds! Its perfect!

you did a super job with all your work, i love the subtle frame, it doesn't distract from the pretty bright red.
