I think this is so good, the B&W is perfect, and such a good lead in. It sure does look weathered, being built in 1884 and its still standing, though I would not walk out on it. :) tigs=^..^=
Lyn, the vegetation on the tread can be an indication that the wood can be partly decayed. I wouldn't walk on it anymore. This doesn't take away that it remains a photogenic scene. The choice of B & W has given it even more character.

I am very impressed with this photo. The black and white is perfect for this scene, the light, softness, shadow somehow pull you in, very dramatic and serene. Lovely work.
