Saturday was a beautiful day for a walk around our local public gardens and I was delighted to capture this butterfly also enjoying the Spring sunshine and blossoms. Since then the weather has turned horrible with a wintery blast straight from the Antarctic bringing snow to sea level.

---Since then the weather has turned horrible---

Lyn, when I say the weather is unpredictable, I'm basically kicking open an already open door, 😁 !
What I do see is that you have made the most of a beautiful day with this beautiful photographic result as a result. The colors of both the butterfly and blossom are beautiful and your composition is perfectly chosen. A contribution to enjoy!

Considering the ones I've seen here in cold weather, simply stiffen up until they warm up later in the day (in the case of the cold not lasting too long), I wonder if one couldn't simply venture out to collect a few to release in the house, free to visit the indoor flowers (and possibly a little salted water in a tray). Your photo has such a light feel to it, what with the flutter and the tiny and delicate blossoms. Very nice indeed.
