"Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky." ~ Kahlil Gibran. I loved the way the late afternoon sun caught these massive Eucalypyus trees beside the Waitaki River. My photo does not do the sight justice, in reality it was quite magical.

The late afternoon sun has used its magical wand to cover the tall Eucalyptus trees with temporary gold, Lyn. A wonderful sight anyhow!

The weathered trunks and wispy branches give both trees such character, and the time of day in which you captured them, painting the upper branches with low-angle sunlight, does indeed do a certain amount of justice to them, Lyn. For such a simple subject this is a rather remarkable capture. Kudos and Kia Ora.
