Crossing the bridge. This is the Kakanui River and the wooden one car lane/one pedestrian lane bridge was built in 1896. The town is literally divided into two by the river.

That is a killer sky, Lyn. It was smart to drop the horizon to emphasize those clouds....not that the landscape is lacking. All and all a wonderful shot.

Skies are a great tool for photographers, as your excellent capture shows quite well, Lyn. The drama and character the clouds add to photos are surpassed only by the wide variety of their displays, from soft to threatening, solid to multi-planed, light to dark, and often with a wide range of colors. All of that is plain to see here in your image. Wow.
