These were in the garden of a restaurant we visited on Monday - a farewell family dinner for our youngest son before he returned to the UK. I had only my phone with me but had to capture these beauties for Friday :) I have not been about here much - a combination of busyness, family illness and becoming acclimatised to retirement (not sure how I ever had time to go to work ! ) Happy Friday everyone.

---not sure how I ever had time to go to work---

Lyn, I was smiling about the above quote of your narrative, because I've experienced the same.
However, it is good to stay active for as long as possible. It shifts the senses that could otherwise be completely obsessed with worries.

Thank you for your wonderful Foofy Friday (F²) contribution as well. On such an occasion (farewell family dinner for your youngest son) it wouldn't probably occur to me to take a photograph, 😁)

Beautiful capture, wonderful variety of color. About retirement, makes a person wonder how you did everything before you got to this stage in life. Happy Retirement!

Delphinium is the flower of my birth month and I've always been partial to them. Blues of almost any shade are also favorites of mine so this is a save and fave for me Lyn. Your sentiment about retirement is universal I believe - my late husband and I expressed it many times. (It takes about 10 years for that feeling to go away!)
