This is a Alcea Chaters Double Red. This is a flower that donīt like it much up here, but someone have evidently succeed. No me but a neighbour to my mother :) Next year I try to take a shot of this in full bloom.

Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
It's a beauty Mariana. Very unusual and a perfect deep red. No wonder you want to try to grow it as well. Great framing and presentation. A keeper for sure.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita

Beautiful flower, and I love the presentation with the simple yet elegant framing. Are you sure it's a rose? It sure doesn't look like one, though it's beautiful enough....
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
I love Hollyhocks. This newer variety is so much fuller than the traditional strain. The red of the blossom is intense. I wouldn't mind having some of these, but they need full sun the link said and I haven't got much of it here under all the towering pines. Very pretty presentation, Mariana.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You have used a lovely framing technique for this beautiful full brilliant red hollyhock. My mother used to grow the single ones in her garden many years ago, and your photo brings back fond memories of happy bright summer days. Thanks for posting this, Mariana.
