sorry sorry But now at least I know some more about its customs and habits. He does not like dogs and can fly VERY fast and quite noisily - like a helicopter LOL Most hopefully this bug will not come across my way again as its favourite white flowers seem to whither slowly ....

That's funny you say he doesn't like dogs because remember I said on one of your photos it looked like maybe an Irish dog on the back of the face bug. That would make sense. It adapts to its environment and if it doesn't like dogs would evolve a dog face on its back to blend in where dogs were. Lol! Whatever! Superb photo Marzena! Allen

I do not care for this bug. At first I did, but not anymore. You do a good job of getting it on camera though.

Let's face it. That bug loves you to photograph it. I am sure it would rather you come without Boris. That bug is a colorful sort, but I wonder if it stings or bites. Beauty of a shot, Marzena.

I love that shiny stuff on his back... We have June Bugs around here. They look just like your beetle and they appear in June... They sound like helicopters too but they don't bite or sting, they're just real big...
