First of a matched pair, Morning / Evening, on Amber Sands beach on Koh Chang, Thailand. You can see Evening here. Tides are strange on this side of the island, the side that faces the mainland (Which you can sea on the horizon line.), only one noticeable tide a day! The week I was there the tide was *out* early in the morning and *in* the rest of the time. So this is morning, probably about 7am, thus no footprints in the sand.

Such an amazing place. I bet you were like a kid in a candy store. Hard to reason such contrasts on a beach. The skies are an amazing compliment to the dark shores. Thank you for sharing your travels.

The dramatic clouds racing across the sky really make the copper/amber color of the sand stand out...and interesting info about it also

Beautiful scene ... somewhat moody too. I'm emjoying the warm colors of the sandy beach in contrast with the cooler & monotone ones of the water & sky. Very well done on the comp too.
