That is Gabby Hayes reincarnated Owd Momma. I don't care if it is a girl. You should take it in the house and put on a Roy Rogers movie. Good shot for having to be slow and quick at the same time. That is hard to do.

Lol @ Tick!

What a lucky find! I hear the bearded pine warbler is one of the rarest in the continental United States... ;-))

Sweet portrait of this little lady, she obviously has housekeeping on her mind.

You did manage to get a very clear shot of her with your slow motion! I like her beard though I would like to lend her my electric beard trimmer. Wonderful shot, Pat.

The way the bird is looking at you at a very close distance, and reading your narrative, telling me how you've achieved this result, have put a smile on my face Momma.
Very good work. Thanks for that.

A great closeup Pat, Excellent colour, detail and clarity. That 50Lb. lens does a great job. Didn't that bird do background vocals for ZZ Top a while back? Great post

I love the pine warblers Pat...they sing pretty too :)
I am wondering though if this is nesting material in birdies beak that is mimicking a beard? I can find no reference to a bearded warbler at all in any of my bird books. Maye someone else can enlighten me on that though.....it is that time of year for you (well for the birds that is!)down South!!!
Quick on that rigger finger Pat! :o)

Beautiful color and excellent clarity. The background is blurred just he right amount also. Never seen a bird like this...Looks very unusual with the beard going for him.
