NOTICE: THIS IMAGE IS COPYRIGHTED AND NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE. The weatherman said there was going to be a tropical sunset this evening so I took off for my favorite spot 24 miles south of where I live. I was a little disappointed in the results. The sunset wasn’t as dramatic as I had anticipated...but,still pretty, I guess. I haven’t been posting much, one of the reasons being the blistering heat we have around here in late summer. There are other reasons but no need to get into that. Hope some of you get some enjoyment out of this one.

Gorgeous sunset scene Pat ... definitely has a tropical feel. Love the purple tones on the water & the silhouetted tree frames the sky / water nicely. Very well done & glad to see you posting.

Gorgeous lavender-orange sky, Momma! Really! Not disappointing at all, and I love the silhouettes fore and aft and especially the tree. I can understand about the heat. If it's hot, hazy and humid up here in New England, it must be wicked down where you are.

I'd say it's pretty dramatic. The colors alone are sensational. Throw in the wonderful silhouettes and you've got a spectacular sunset. Worth the 24 mile journey, I think.
