They grow everywhere and are considered a nuisance but they do provide about the only vivid color when fall arrives. They can be beautiful when backlighted by the sun.

Pat - Terrific lighting, giving the leaves a glow, and creating some nice shadows; and the color is wonderful. Depth of field keeps the focus on these six leaves in a nicely composed photo. Very well done! Thad

Hey! Someone must have picked all the Chickens off that tree 'cause there's nothing but leaves left. A great closeup, Pat. Great colour, detail and lighting in this fine fall image. Nice work.

Nature provides us with so much, all we have to do is enjoy it. Love this time of year, and the backlighting is fantastic. I'm off tomorrow to go do a bit of Autumn shooting too.Here the Maples are just outstanding in colour this year. Lovely photo Pat..verena

Chicken trees? I hate to think what happens if you stand under them for too long. Good idea this Momma, I like the light behind the leaves a lot and it's a different take on the autumn colours - kind of 'less is more'. I like your title too. It made me remember Peachy Cheeks.
