NOTICE: THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE. This begins a new series called the Natchez Trace Parkway which runs for 444 miles between Nashville,TN and Natchez,MS. The speed limit is 50 mpr. You would think that would kill you but you soon find yourself in a total state of relaxation. The scenery is beautiful, especially in the spring and the fall.

Lovely scene with the curved road and colourful trees. The 50 MPH rule will give you ample opportunity to enjoy this beautiful route.

Very inviting - a great start to the journey Pat - will be delighted to tag along.

If the speed limit were 50mph everywhere there would be a lot more people alive today :(

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Geez, 50mph isn't so bad. Gives you a chance to view the scenery as you clip by. Or not. I like that you chose this curve to stop and take a shot and that fence over yonder has a nice design. We're on our way.

You had you camera fine tuned on this one Owd Momma. The slight touch of FDR looks great. I will look forward to traveling at a slower pace and enjoying this series.

If i were a cop..I'd hide behind a billboard and wait for you...Then I'd throw the book at you...I'd say,"Blow in this bag please",You'd reply "Why,I haven't been drinking",I'd reply.."It's OK Honey it's just that my fries are hot"....;)

I love that road winding through the gorgeous countryside. What a beautiful photo, Pat! Love the light and saturated colors. 50 mph is way too fast for traveling this parkway. A walk would be better, but 444 miles might take awhile on foot. :)

Great shot. Beautiful. But where is there a 50mph zone. I usually hit 35mph zones from Nashville.
