That size tree has to have some pretty dense rootage under the surface too just to stay aloft. Amazing though. You have to watch your step. I'd really like to know why some trees do this. Maybe I'll go find out now.

A wonderful shot of this fantastic tree, Pat! The tree itself looks like something out of Fangorn Forest in Lord of the Rings. Very nicely composed, and you've done an excellent job with the sunlight and shadows. Well done!
