"Schnitzersepp", the local woodcarver Sepp, carved this great hall in just 3 months in the 19th century. Triberg is a tourist spot which can be found in the hart of the Black Forest, Germany. As for this magnificent hall, it was mine alone. I was granted permission to enter alone, set up my tripod, turn on the lights (with a wooden switch) and show it to you in a way the human eye can never view it (too dark). The shutter time was 30 seconds, at 100 ISO, F14, 17mm full frame. I enjoyed this one a lot and I hope you will too.

Wow! and Wow! and Wow! Oh my goodness, what a beautiful image, Paul! How did you get them to let you alone do this? Whatever, you have done a marvelous job of capturing all the details, the wood grain and golden colors and green velvet on the chairs and the twinkle lights in the rear with a 30 sec. exposure! I totally love this shot, but you know you are my idol anyway! lol
You give us all something to aspire too. This is just incredible. Thank you so much for posting this one. No doubt that I enjoyed this immensely! Oh, the narrative was most informative too.

I sense that you are challenging yourself and taking pleasure in it. lol

What a magnificent hall! The woodwork of course is absolutely beautiful. And that you were "allowed" to take a photo is just fantastic. What an honor for you Paul. I can't help but wonder what wood the floor is made of, it's gorgeous too. Thank you for another great photo Paul. Many warm thoughts to you.Verena

WOW, I would love to know how you got permission to do this. I truly hope that they will use your image to show off the absolute beauty of this place. I would love to run my hands over the carved wood. I would only expect a shot like this from a professional photographer. I lift my glass to you sir. + FAVES

Your experience shows in the angle, I think most of us would have been seduced by the squareness of the subject to shoot it square, I'm glad you didn't. This is great.
