Tutankhaten, means "Living Image of Aten", while Tutankhamun means "Living Image of Amun". Discovered by Howard Carter and George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon in 1922. This photo is shot in Amsterdam on an exibition. It is a (very good) replica of the original.

Great looking capture of a very interesting subject and I love how they sit against that black background it helps bring out all the detail and colours. Thanks for the history behind this photograph too.

Amazing how they found this treasure intact...Buried and forgotten underneath other already picked clean tombs that succumbed to flooding and constant unearthing over the years... Nice one...faved

So I take it you're not planning in entering this in the "What Is It?" contest, Paul?

Brilliant color and, as always, focus. I like the two-view "mug shot" style of presentation.
