It was a strangely warm November afternoon when my son and took a walk through Chalco Hills. Not far from the path, my son spotted some deer in the twilight. The stag stood still, wondering if the whir and clicks of my camera were a threat or not. It was a six-mile walk and so worth the time.

The absolute best way to shoot wildlife. The result is an image of majestic beauty without pain or loss, where all participants walk away safe to do it all again. This is why I came back from the military and sold all my guns, originally used only to put meat on the table but, in reality, no longer necessary.
