Zooming in to the feathers, reflection, and water to the left of the duck*s head, Jeff, is an exercise in the abstract. Even so, I made sure the head wasn*t in the crop and held my iPad up to my wife, across the living room, asking her if she knew what it was. **Looks like feathers. . . on a duck.**
Somehow I forgot that an abstract is clearer across distance (thank you, Covid). I also forgot that my wife is way too smart for me. Another very nice image from the HD, Jeff. Living a short drive from a world class zoo as you do, must be a real pleasure, able to have the time to choose and work your photos down to the finite. Lucky dog.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
