The colors clearly remind me of our little prairie asters, but the shape and style is definitely an orchid, one I find substantially more solid, less frilly than the better-known orchid. For those reasons and because of the lovely contrast with the green and dark background, I much prefer this one to any of the others of the species I have seen. Very well captured, Jeff, one that fits the narrative and purpose of Caedes very well, and whose technical and aesthetic attributes make it a favorite for me.
