This stag as you can see is in his prime. This photo was taken on Oct. 9th last year. During the months September - October (mating season) it is better not to get too close to this guy.

They have the kind of rut that is nice to be in Raj. I agree that you should be careful. He does look pretty horny. Great shot. Looks like he needed the rest.

Great set of antlers.
He looks fairly docile in this shot but I would never get that close :)

Its antlers are already impressive, but the look in its eyes makes that one have to take this guy even more serious before approaching it Raj.
